Anti-Spam Server for MS Exchange – Performance

Getting here: Main Screen -> Main Menu Tools -> Advanced settings -> Server components -> branch Anti-Spam Server for MS Exchange -> Performance

Here you can change the Anti-Spam Server for MS Exchange engine performance, i.e. the level and reliability of e-mail scanning to identify spam.

Move the slider to the left to decrease scanning performance; scanning will be faster and consume only a small amount of memory, but spam detection will not be entirely reliable. The lowest level is only suitable for computers with poor hardware and/or slow Internet connection.

Move the slider to the right to increase the scanning performance; anti-spam protection will be more reliable, however keep in mind that high levels can significantly slow down the e-mail receiving process or the overall computer performance, as each incoming e-mail message must be processed individually. If you notice such a significant slowdown, try setting the Anti-Spam scanning performance to a lower level.

Enable online checking – this option activates online checking of each e-mail message, as described in the dialog. As this is yet another feature improving spam detection, but slowing down the e-mail receiving process considerably, we also recommend to disable it if the time delay for incoming e-mails is unbearable.
