Component Anti-Spyware The Anti-Spyware component is, in fact, an internal AVG spyware database used for identifying known types of spyware, including so-called sleeping and non-active malware, i.e. malware that has been downloaded but not yet activated.
What is AVG spyware database? What is spyware, and how does it differ from “traditional” viruses? Where is the detected spyware stored?
Settings The Anti-Spyware component cannot be configured. It is only crucial that it gets updated regularly to maintain the highest level of protection. For that purpose, there is already a scheduled update task predefined by the manufacturer to run automatically in convenient intervals, so normally you will not need to worry about updating at all.
